Cookies & storage
LINER/5 uses a small amount of browser storage to make DROP/5 work and, when permission is granted, to measure how the site is used.
Essential / functional storage
Functional browser storage is used for:
- your consent preference;
- the anonymous browser identifier used for voting;
- DROP/5 progress;
- completion and returning-visitor state.
This storage is needed for core features, such as continuing a drop and stopping the same browser identifier from replacing its existing vote. Because it provides the service you asked for, it works regardless of your analytics choice. Most of it is browser storage on your device rather than cookies.
Analytics
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may use cookies and browser storage only after you grant analytics consent. Analytics helps us understand:
- page views;
- drop entry;
- sleeve progression and track reveals;
- the voting funnel;
- results views;
- newsletter interactions;
- acquisition source and campaign performance;
- device and browser patterns.
Analytics does not record what you actually listen to. LINER/5 only knows actions that happen on this website, such as revealing a track or clicking a platform link.
Advertising consent
The consent system also manages Google consent signals for ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. LINER/5 does not currently run personalized advertising. These settings control what Google advertising-related services may do if and when those services are used.
Third-party music services
Spotify embeds, and links to Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, may lead those companies to use their own cookies and storage under their own policies. LINER/5 does not control those third-party cookies.
Managing your choices
You can:
- accept or reject optional analytics through the consent banner;
- reopen “Cookie choices” in the footer at any time;
- change your preference;
- clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings.
Clearing functional storage may reset your DROP/5 progress or your anonymous browser identifier.
